...so we decided to create an online alternative where you can purchase tickets to bigger poetry events without the added $8, which could quite possibly be equal to 1/4 of your weekly food budget or a drink at a Hollywood club you didn't really want to go to. We don't want to brag or anything, but it's pretty great, right? Does this make us free-market capitalists?

We don't know. We doodled sad love poems through economics. We do know this: you can go to the events page for poetry show descriptions and to purchase tickets, the contact page to get in touch with the powers that be about listing an event here, and the links page for some totally unrelated links. So, uh, go forth and enjoy good poetry, and soak up the meaningfullness of it all, and take deep long sighs that tell your brain everything is going to be ok, because it is already, etcetera.

Oh yeah, and all of this is now kept alive by the fearless poetry lovers at Write Now, a nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering the art of poetry by any means necessary, or at least through education, performance, publishing and grant-making.
